Progress not Perfection

I am still getting a hang of this whole wordpress concept and trying to work through the kinks. Despite my ongoing efforts to post and work through my frustrations with understanding a new host site… I will continue to move forward in hopes of creating an exciting and successful blog. I continue to think about my old blog and the life it held… I had a strong following there and now moving to a different site has been a bit uncomfortable. However, at last, I degrees; I wanted to create a new name for myself. Lyme disease was so last year. Well, it was actually a couple of years ago! It’s hard to believe how much I have grown and changed since High School. No matter how much that chapter has formed and shaped me… I still am progressing and changing into who I am today. I am so excited for the journey that lies ahead of me….

This past weekend, I was honored to be a part of a conference called Making Things Happen where I learned about the hard work that goes into dreams (more to come on that later). I have wanted to touch others with the story of faithfulness and love that has been a huge part of my life in the past 7 years. The story that first almost took my life and then was transformed into a piece of art (only God can do that!). However, as I have began to write on this blog, I have become a bit frustrated with my lack of posting, and sincere lack of creativity (I am sure this is not what you want to hear about: but just keeping it real here people!).

Anyways, my process of blogging goes something like this: I click new post… It may or may not work: sometimes it says that I haven’t been authorized for this action… I thought I was the only author for this blog?? Who knows! Then I look at the blank post: so many options! So many places that this post could go! I have nothing! I leave the blank post open in search for something new… Then eventually, close all tabs including the un-edited tab. And alas, another day with no post.

But here I am, committing to a reasonable goal: 1 post a week. I can do this. If there was one thing I learned from the incredible women this past weekend was: progress, not perfection! I have got this! My new blog will be up and running soon… For now: I just have to post once a week and remain faithful. Not too hard, right?! Good! Glad you’re following me… Welcome to the journey!

  1. Oh darn! I posted a nice long comment but not sure it went through?
I just wanted to say that hearing about what you’ve overcome has really touched me. You have such a beautiful, light spirit and I can’t wait to hear more of your voice. This line really sang to me, “The story that first almost took my life and then was transformed into a piece of art (only God can do that!)”. So true! Having the goal of posting once a week is such a great start- can’t wait to see where this journey takes you!
